Parents,
Los Lunas Schools implemented Remote Learning on March 16th, 2020 in
accordance with Governor Lujan-Grisham's directive to close K-12 public
schools through April 3rd, 2020. On March 27th, 2020, the Public
Education Department directed all schools to be closed for the remainder
of the school year. Los Lunas Schools will continue to provide remote
learning, also known as continuous learning. Teachers are delivering
lessons online, designating office hours to support students, and
connecting virtually with students through video conferencing, telephone
calls, and email. In addition, educators and administrators are
collaborating in professional learning communities via video
conferencing to support high levels of learning for their students.
Please go to
https://sites.google.com/view/llselementarylearning/for all the resources you need for your elementary student during the
closure. You will find resources for reading, math, art, music,
physical education, and quality learning websites.
Our district understands that all students may not have access to
internet in their homes. Los Lunas Schools has purchased Wi-Fi hot
spots that
will be installed in school buses and the school buses will
be parked in neighborhoods where there is limited internet connection.
