Pick Up Area Policy

Many of our students at Peralta Elementary are picked up or dropped off in one of two parking lots. First and foremost, safety is our main concern. Thank you for following the guidelines when picking up students after school or dropping them off in the morning. If you wish to take your child out before 2:55pm, you have to sign them out in the office. Below are the guidelines to follow:

West Parking Lot

  • This parking lot is strictly for parking and walking your children by using the crosswalk in front the building during the AM drop off.
  • Afterschool, you are allowed to pick up your children here only if you are going to turn north on to Highway 47.
  • Parents driving through the pick-up line may not get out of their vehicle. Duty staff will escort your child to your car. If you park your car in the parking lot, you are to use the crosswalk to retrieve your child.

    East Parking Lot

  • Students are not allowed to be dropped off before 8:25 a.m. A duty person must be present before stu­dents are dropped off.
  • If you are parking and walking your child to their class, please use the crosswalk.
  • The students are dismissed at 2:55pm.
  • Parking is only allowed in the allotted spaces in the visitor parking lot. Do not park on Molina Road or in the staff parking lot.
  • If you are parking and leaving your vehicle, your child will not be dismissed to meet you unless you are at the end of the crosswalk.
  • Students will not be allowed to meet you at your vehicle.
